This thing looks great online, and is much cheaper than Cake ball makers on here, that is why I bought it. It is flimsy though and the two halves do not come together evenly, making it impossible to just scoop and bake the balls and have them come out round. It will be useful in portioning my cake balls, but I will still have to shape them by hand.

It's hard to get the meatballs out. I had thought that if you just used these to scoop the mixture, they'd pop out. You need to oil them to do that, or you end up re-rolling to get the finger indentation out of the meatball.

This does exactly what it says it does. It makes meatballs. Nice sized meatballs (a little smaller than a golf ball size). However, I usually have to scrape along the sides and along the two holes on the top and bottom. It also compacts the meatballs a lot (making in my opinion, a tougher meatball) yet still looks like my meatballs are going to fall apart from the seam in the middle. It is a bit hard to get them out of the meatballer as well. My husband was rolling meatballs by hand at the same time I was using this. The weight difference was dramatic, mine were much much heavier, yet smaller than his. He made about 4 in the time it took me to make one. As much as I hate to touch meat and get my hands all grimy, I really think I need to suck it up and use them.
