I bought two 6" x 2" pans to make a small cake that is � the batter size of my usual 9" x 2" cake (btw it took a bit of thought to do the math on this!). I was somewhat skeptical given the odd Fat Daddio's brand name, the photos which make them look cheap and the nonstick nature of the pans. I'm glad I read the reviews here to sway me to take the leap of faith. The 6" cake pans turned out to be the perfect size despite looking really tiny in person. They make the right size cake for 4-6 people. The pans are heavy weight, solidly constructed and look much better in person than they appear in the photos. This is my first experience with non-nonstick bakeware and I am very pleased. I spray the pans with Pam and the cake never sticks to the pan (unlike my nonstick pans) and they pop out without too much coaxing. Clean up is easy. I loved the 6" so much that I have also purchased two of the 9" x 2" pans to replace my nonstick 9" pans. I really like that they make every size pan you could want. The only draw back is that the pans do not nest inside each other for storage, so they take up twice as much room in the cabinet. Way to go Fat Daddio's! Definitely recommended!

I just received these pans and discovered that they are NOT dishwasher safe. After the first wash, the coating was completely discolored and gritty. They probably bake beautifully but I need something I can throw in the dishwasher.

You just can't go wrong with Fat Daddio's pans ... your cakes will turn out great, and clean up couldn't be easier. They're very well-made, and I imagine that I'll have mine for decades. Despite their very reasonable price point, these are as good or better than any other more expensive pans. I'm replacing all my old cake pans with Fat Daddio's, and now own the 6-/10-/and 14-inch rounds, plus the 9X13 rectangular sheet cake pan. You won't be disappointed with Fat Daddio!
